Murcia, October 2025.

Peruvian agriculture and Murcian technology came together at Fruit Attraction 2025 with the visit of Gabriel Amaro, president of the Association of Agricultural Producers of Peru (AGAP), who toured the stands of the companies that make up AgritechMurcia, taking an interest in their technological solutions and sharing the main challenges currently facing the agricultural sector in his country.

During his visit, Amaro held close talks with representatives of the group’s companies, with whom he exchanged views on the needs of Peruvian agriculture in areas such as water efficiency, sustainability, digitalisation and technological innovation. The president of AGAP stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between regions that share common challenges, such as water scarcity or the need to increase productivity in a sustainable manner.

‘Peru and the Region of Murcia have a lot in common: both have developed their agriculture around the efficient use of water and technology. Collaborating and sharing knowledge is key to continuing to move forward,’ said Gabriel Amaro during his tour.

The visit, considered one of the highlights of the fair for the AgritechMurcia group, also served to establish new avenues of cooperation between Murcian companies and the Peruvian agro-export sector, especially in areas such as precision irrigation, crop management and biotechnological solutions.

The AgritechMurcia management team highlighted ‘the importance of having international leaders such as Gabriel Amaro, whose strategic vision strengthens the link between Latin America and the Region of Murcia as hubs of agricultural innovation’.

The day concluded with the recording of an exclusive interview with Amaro, in which he delves into the challenges and opportunities facing the Peruvian and Latin American agricultural sector and reflects on the role of technology and international collaboration in transforming the countryside.

The full interview will be published shortly on AgritechMurcia’s official channels.
